Well… it looked like a costume, but Benji was convinced it was “a chosen fish.” Every time he tried to take it off, it made a little blub sound and squeezed tighter.

So, Benji embraced his new fishy fate. He even gave the fish a name—Goldie Jr. He’s a little spacey, a little dreamy, but very cheerful. He began writing about “life with a fish hat,” discovering perks like: it blocks rain, scares off cats, and makes him the easiest character to draw on the classroom chalkboard!
