☕ A quiet moment. A soul in your hands. Art that stays with you.
Story Behind the Design
We all have our ways of making peace with life.
Some run. Some write. I make things with my hands.
This mug series was born during a quiet winter morning, after I had just moved into a new apartment.
The sun poured through the windows, Leonard Cohen was playing in the background, and I had a steaming cup of coffee beside me.
I picked up a biography of Van Gogh, and there he was—
His face, his gaze—so intense, so tired, but still burning with a fragile kind of hope.
A few pages later, I remembered The Girl with a Pearl Earring, from a trip I once took to the Netherlands.
I stood in front of her painting for nearly half an hour, not because I understood art deeply, but because I felt like she saw me.
Soft, still, quietly powerful. Like someone you’d want to have coffee with on a rainy day.
So I made these mugs.
Not to display art, but to invite it into the real, unpolished corners of our lives.
Your cluttered kitchen counter. A desk covered in notebooks. A Sunday afternoon on the porch.
I hope you’ll hold one in your hands and think:
Maybe the beauty we chase isn’t far away — it’s already here, in small rituals and still moments.
Meaning & Blessing
Whether your mornings are quiet or chaotic,
may this mug bring a little beauty to your hands —
A reminder that even in ordinary days,
you can still hold something timeless,
and sip slowly, like art.
Origin · Jingdezhen
Jingdezhen, often called “The Porcelain Capital of the World,” has been at the heart of China’s ceramic artistry for over a thousand years. Since the Tang dynasty, its porcelain has been exported across continents, cherished by emperors, nobility, and collectors alike. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Jingdezhen became home to the Imperial Kilns, where only the finest craftsmanship was allowed.
Today, this heritage continues. Each piece is still shaped, carved, painted, and fired by hand—just as it was centuries ago. This earthenware cup comes from this historic city, carrying with it not only the traditions of Chinese artistry but also a sense of warmth and sincerity for everyday life.
It’s more than a cup—it’s a quiet conversation between past and present, a tactile reminder that beauty can be both timeless and useful.
